Three Sticks | Chardonnay Sonoma Valley, California 2012 | 120
Rich and expressive with aromas of stone fruit, creme brulee, baked apple and pear. More stone fruit, lemon and golden apple flavors fill the full body palate. The finish is long and lively with the acid delicately balancing the texture and complexity.

Domaine Matrot Meursault | Cote de Beaune, France 2014 | 89
The minerality really stands out with Matrot’s Meursault Villages. A bouquet of fresh green apples and yellow stone fruits with a hint of spice is followed by a mouthwatering palate of lively citrus flavours and a refreshing mineral note on the finish.

Latour Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru | Côte de Beaune, France 2010 | 215
One of Burgundy’s most celebrated white whites. Powerful aromas of fresh almond emerge accompanied by nice mellow oaky notes. This is an ample wine with good length.

Miura Pinot Noir | Silacci Vineyard Monterey County, California 2014 | 138
High-toned aromatic lavender, Earl Grey tea, and red fruit tones make for a pretty nose. The wine has an undercurrent of minerality and overtones of chocolate and coffee. The palate includes ripe bright fruit and a supple texture along with a cherry skin astringency on the finish.

Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape | Rhône, France 2012 | 156
Powerful, expressive aromas of red and black currant, cherry and licorice, with suave anise and oral overtones. Juicy and precise, with tangy red and dark berry flavors, supple texture and a strong mineral note on the back. Spicy on the finish, which shows very good focus and length.

La Jota Merlot | Howell Mountain 2012 | 135
Sourced from five small growers on Howell Mountain. On the palate, flavors of chocolate, mint, currant, and vanilla bean are revealed.

Ehler’s 1886 Cabernet | St. Helena, CA 2012 | 175
Black currant and cocoa flavors that are generously oaked. Yet it possesses a classic acid and tannin structure and feels ultrarefined and elegant all the way down.

Phelps Insignia | St. Helena, CA 2011 | 285
Incredibly inky hue with layers of perfumed plum, dark berries, bergamot, mocha and graphite aromas followed by hints of spice box. The texture on the palate is ultra-concentrated and silky with blackberry flavors and a touch of black pepper, cocoa and curry spices leading to the lush, lingering and focused finish.

Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia | Italy 2012 | 295
Good deep ruby red in the glass, generous notes of chocolate, raisins, some herbs and a little smoke. Mid bodied and well balanced, lovely mouth feel with silky tannins. Blackberry on the mid palate, very fresh, lively and fruity. Long warm finish.

Bertani Amarone | Italy 2006 | 198
Deep garnet red. Generous aroma of freshly-picked cherries mingled with notes of sour cherries, vanilla and an agreeable trace of spiciness. Dry, full-bodied and amply structured. Cherries, red berries and a hint of vanilla lead into a dazzling finish that recalls walnuts and hazelnuts.

Château de Pez Saint-Estephe | Bordeaux, France 2011 | 118
Dark blackberries, hint of tobacco. This is a very enjoyable wine, which is slightly rustic and will do well with hearty dishes. There is dense, concentrated fruit balanced by firm, chewy tannins.

Overture | Napa Valley, California NV | 230
Aged in French oak, full bodied but approachable in its youth. Shows generous dark fruit aromas and flavors with a soft, supple mint palate.

Cain Five | Napa Valley, California 2011 | 225
Supple and rich of texture, combining a full, firm structure with a long subtle finish.

Mt Brave Cabernet | Napa Valley, California 2012 | 225
Full and rich texture that mingles with the aromas of violets and flavors of raspberries, blueberries and a touch of vanilla. Combined with mountain tannins that are massaged into an approachable, mouth-filling crescendo, the finish culminates with notes of mountain shale.

Gaja Darmaji Langhe | Piedmont, Italy 2012 | 275
Darmagi explodes from the glass in a profusion of brambly, juicy red and blue fruit layered atop sun-warmed earth, cigar wrapper, baking spices and mocha. Opulent yet supple, this wine balances its chewy tannins with fresh acidity as it builds to a long, caressing finish. An elegant blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, this wine belies its name Darmagi, which means “what a pity” in the Piemontese dialect.
